Yes! You Have Peace

Verse Passage: Romans 5:1-2 “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” – NIV

Peace is often a feeling that people just can’t seem to obtain. When it comes to the daily struggles we face, and the constant stream of noise, irritations, time schedules, demands of our time, choices that need to be made, meals to fix, the daily news, music, telephone, television shows, and everything that that breaks the silence. Peace has remained an almost impossible thing to obtain. 

However, peace with God is not sometime that is impossible. It is a standing fact. We have peace with God because of our faith in Jesus. His blood bought our freedom from the chaos of the inner struggles. It may not always feel like it, or even seem like it, but I say it truly, peace is there. 

There have been many times when PEACE has seemed unreachable in my own life. But when I actually take a moment to look under all the thoughts and feelings that race through my head and overwhelm me; I find something, that’s PEACE. 

If we look at the 11th word in the first verse of chapter five. We see something that is actually missed when it comes to applying biblical scripture. 

In Romans 5:1 the 11th Word is “HAVE”

Which is real interesting because many people do not think that they HAVE PEACE. When they actually do. 

This one word actually does something to this passage. 

The Word “have” is a present/future tense verb. Which means it’s current and ongoing. 

So when Romans says that we HAVE peace. It’s saying “LOOK! You have PEACE with GOD period! Don’t go looking for it. Don’t try to grab ahold of it. Don’t go chasing it! Because you already HAVE it!” 

Yes. There is times when we FEEL like we don’t have peace. We need to unseeded something though. If it feels as if the peace is gone, don’t forget, we have access into this grace. If the world around you is a jumbled up mess, enter into the quiet place. Turn off the radio, the TV and any distraction you can. Talk to the Lover of your soul. Listen to the Designer of your life. He wrote a book just for you, and is waiting every single minute of every single day, for you to come to Him and talk with Him about it.

Then, after spending time with Him, you can stand, and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God, because you know that He’s there. He’ll calm the waves or calm the person. He’ll be there, today, and He’s already there waiting for you tomorrow. He’s holding onto your hand to help you stand. In Peace.

You have His PEACE within YOU!
