My, Devotion to Him #62
VERSE PASSAGE: John 1:23 “John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’” – NIV
One of the great things about John was that John knew who he was and what he was called to do. This was one of the keys to his success. Unlike a lot of people today, John did not have an identity crisis growing up. He knew God’s plan and purpose for his life from the beginning and he spent his entire life preparing for it.
God has a plan for our lives just as He did for John the Baptist. To succeed in life, we must find God’s plan for our life and then devote ourself to fulfilling that plan. It is not enough to for us to simply do our own thing and then ask God’s blessing upon it. Once we know we are doing God’s will, we will never have to ask for God’s blessing. Because God’s will already has His anointing and blessing upon it.
The Lord created us with a purpose in mind. Our talents and abilities were given to us to fulfill His purpose and bring glory to His awesome name. Although we may find limited success using these talents for your own uses, we will never find our true potential until everything we are and have is directed by and used for the Lord. God wants to reveal His perfect plan to us. You can rest assured that if you ask for knowledge of His plan for your life, you will receive.
VERSE PASSAGE: Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” – NIV
Be blessed my brothers and sisters in Christ.
