Living The Good Life

My, Devotion to Him #101
Many times I’m touched by how good God is to us. How many things we have been given. How great the opportunity is to just live. It’s exciting to know that out of all that has been created we are God’s favorite.
Verse passage: Psalm 145:8-9 “The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.” – NIV
Verse passage: Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – NIV
God is gracious to us. Do you know what that means? It means He is inclined to show favor to us. It’s just His nature to bless His people. He is also compassionate to us. Which doesn’t mean He just shows pity but also eager yearning. God is eagerly yearning to do good to us. The Bible states that He is looking to bless someone. He is not satisfied until He can do someone good.
Verse passage: 2 Chronicles 16:9 “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.” – NIV
God wants to do good to you. He wants you to live a good life. Though that does not exclude trials, mountains, or test. The next time someone tells you that God “wants” you to be sick or that you’re sick because God is punishing you. Remind them that God has a good life planned for you, even in this dark dangerous world. A life of health and joy. A life of ministering and helping people. There is no better life to live than living the life that God has in store for us no matter what lies ahead.
God bless!
