My Bride, Rise Up Part 2

My, Devotion to Him #239

Submission is a God created action. It is not a bad word as many perceive it to be. All things work good when there is correct structure and it is used as God intended it to be used.

WE need to know who is responsible. A man (husband) is the head of the house. All responsibility for what occurs within the home falls on his shoulders and when he stands before God, He will have to answer for those decisions. The pastor is the head of the church. All responsibility falls on him for the caring of the people. The church is under the submission of Christ. The government is a ruling authority over the people within a certain area. This is to create a sense of order. The children of God are too submit not only to earthly leaders who are in authority but also to the Father (God). The bride of Christ (the church) is to submit to Jesus. When she has submitted properly she is given not only protection and blessings, but she also gains authority.

Verse Passage: Titus 3:1 “Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.” – NIV

Verse Passage: Romans 13:1 “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” – NIV

Verse Passage: Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.” – NIV

Verse Passage: Acts 5:29-32 “Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings! The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead —whom you killed by hanging him on a cross. God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins. We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.” – NIV

Verse Passage: Job 22:21-30 “Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you. Accept instruction from his mouth and lay up his words in your heart. If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored: If you remove wickedness far from your tent and assign your nuggets to the dust, your gold of Ophir to the rocks in the ravines, then the Almighty will be your gold, the choicest silver for you. Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God. You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows. What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways. When people are brought low and you say, ‘Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast. He will deliver even one who is not innocent, who will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.” – NIV

No government is perfect. All leaders of a government are sinners like we are. We all make mistakes. As God has created government and has called us to obey the government. There is still a time if the government calls the people to do something that is against Gods Word that the people shall obey God rather than its leader. Even until death.

We take the Daniel approach. The King commanded his people pray to him. Daniel declined this command and obeyed God. He was thrown into the lions den for insubordination. God rescued him. Meshack, Shadrack, and Abednego also took the same approach. The King commanded his people to bow and worship an idol. But they refused. And because they refused the law of the land, they were thrown into the furnace. God protected them. Both cases do not guarantee protection. Rather God is with us and we are to obey God even if the punishment is severe.

Now over the last several decades for some reason the bride of Christ has slowly become more and more silent. She hides from the public, silences her voice, and bows to leaders of this world.

COVID has been another example and a shocking one. Church’s across the country shuttered. Pastors went silent. And the children of God grew fearful! This was all done while at the same time other places were able to remain open. Yet the government deemed the church non-essential. What did the church do? She said “your right.”

What I saw was the single greatest example that the church has not only lost its voice, but also its way. Churches should have called forth the sick and laid hands, pastors should have revolted together and demand that all places of business, and worship be treated the exact same way. Instead… churches went without services for months and months, pastors looked to online streaming (for only those that happen to have internet), members of the body grew in fear, fright, worry, doubt, and almost to the point of unbelief. The lack of faith and authority is astonishing.

The church is suppose to be a beacon of hope. A light in the storm. A place of healing, power, presence, and peace. When the world was spreading fear and its people did not know what to do, the church herself said “we can’t help.”

This will forever be ingrained into the government’s mind. They will know what it will take not only silence the church, but also what is needed in order to shut her doors. And now they know what they have to say to spark fear in its people. All things lead us to the new world order. We must understand this one thing. Did governments create this virus? I don’t know. But the side effects is what will catch their eyes. This was the final moment where the church said nothing. Where the church did not stand up for herself. She followed blindly and silently.

While the churches were shut down with their doors closed. My wife and I made several trips to  the grocery store and to home depot for some projects we wanted to do around the house. It amazed me that these stores were so fake in their “safety guidelines” while at the same time packing their stores. Yet the church wanted to be respectful and obey its earthly leaders while others got special treatment.

Is the church not like a grocery store? Does it not provide food for growth, and essential nourishment? Is the church not like home depot. Does it not provide tools that people can use to further advance their relationship with God and knowledge of Him. Is the church not like a public space. Does it not allow people to join together for a cause, does it not allow the people to come and assembly in one accord?

The bride must take her rightful place once again. She must stand up and unleash a resounding voice of authority. She must demand equal and fair treatment. She is essential to the people of the world! The people are in need and this is one of the greatest moments in history for her to shine the light of Christ and unleash the power of God throughout the land.

God bless.
