My, Devotion to Him #238
Since the start of the Covid-19 I’ve had a stirring in my spirit. Maybe a more accurate description would be a righteous anger towards the body of Christ. Over the years the voice of the bride has diminished and on many occasions stayed silent.
Her voice was beautiful, strong, clear, and anointed. It use to be a voice that kings and presidents sought after with eagerness. It use to be a voice that was recognized as authoritative, final, and holy.
I don’t know where it went downhill and it’s probably been in the works for years and possibly reaching the last decade or so. But, through this shaking it angers me that the church is quiet. Some christians talk out of both sides of their mouths. Praising God on Sunday and in the mid-week service but every other day speaking doubt, fear, and even unbelief. We have forgotten that life and death are in the power of the tongue.
There is a Christian song that I absolutely love – At Your Name. Lets look at some of the lyrics:
“At Your name the mountains shake and crumble. At Your name the oceans roar and tumble. At Your name Angels will bow. The earth will rejoice. Your people cry out.At Your name the morning breaks with glory. At Your name creation sings Your story.”
Another song that’s makes such a statement is – Reckless Love. Look at a little bit at these lyrics:
“There’s no shadow you won’t light up, mountain you won’t climb up coming after me. There’s no wall You won’t kick down, lie you won’t tear down coming after me.”
The Word of God speaks of what He would do for His people as long as they believe! Throughout the Word of God there are times where impossible things happened because believers believed and confessed the Word. Believers stood in the gap.
Are we like those believers? Are we standing, believing, and confessing the Word of God over our nation, president, government, city, the world, the rioting, looting, and injustice that’s happening? Or are we going along with the crowd and repeating fear, worries, doubts, negative outlooks, hatred, and unbelief?
What will it take for the church to rise up and take her rightful place as the bride of Christ and His representative on this earth. When will she stand up with a loud voice and shake our nation once agin. It’s time! We sing all these feel good songs about who He is and what He can do, but do we truly believe it? Do we believe that God can still move mountains, heal the sick, stop the rioting, change the hearts of people, bring us back together as a people in one accord? If so, then where’s your voice?
Can you imagine if the body of Christ laid aside man-made denominations, came together, rose up, stood side by side together with one voice, one cry, one shout, as one united front. Could you imagine how things would change. But, in order for that to happen it has to happen in our own hearts, in our own lives. We have to love like Christ, seek His will, ask Him to let us see things the way He sees them.
Our Pastor talked about how the world views church as non essential and believers are acting like it. We can go out to the stores, restaurants but not go to church. Wow! The devil just snuck right in and accomplished keeping believers from gathering. Where’s our faith! Isn’t church the place where people can come and get healed: spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally? A place where we get refreshed, renewed, and restored?
A place where coming together corporately is synergistic, powerful and can kick down the gates of hell. We should have the belief that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US WILL PROSPER AND EVERY TONGUE THAT SHALL RISE AGAINST YOU IN JUDGEMENT YOU SHALL CONDEMN. THIS IS THE HERITAGE OF THE SERVANTS OF THE LORD, AND THEIR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS OF ME, SAITH THE LORD. ISA 54:17
It starts with us. Only we are responsible for ourselves. Don’t be dismayed by what’s taken place. Pray over those things the Word of God. Confess the sins of our nation and ask God to forgive us. Be a gap stander! Let your words be of faith, truth, justice and love; not of hate, injustice, unbelief, discord or slander.
All believers are called to be the representative of Christ. To be His very image. If we as christians participate in hate, gossip, spreading fear, worry, deceit, if we work to bring discord, and hurt others by our words because it was our intent based off political opinions, or gender, or color, economic status, or religion then we cannot call ourselves christians. We must stand for love. We must work to bring unity. We must work to bring change to the atmosphere around us by praying, loving, caring, showing compassion. Jesus laid out how we are to be as Christians and it’s time that we act like it or decide if we should continue following Him. People knew there was something different about Christ and His ministry spread across the land. Peoples life’s were changed not ruined. WE CANNOT PROCLAIM TO LOVE GOD, FOLLOW GOD, BE A CHRISTIAN if we lock ourselves in our room because of a virus. If we walk on a different part of the street because of a sketchy person, if we avoid certain isles in the store because of another person who does not look like you, if we show disdain for other ethnicities, or bash people with hate or assassinate their character with our words because they believe something you don’t.
We must be the LIGHT we have been called to be. Why would anyone want to come to Christ and even think about being saved if they see His very own people talking and acting no different than the world.
As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. He is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, The Great I Am! This is whom I put my trust in. I will not be shaken or waiver. I am a daughter the King! I saw this on Facebook and shared it and I’ll share it here.
WARNING:
I am a spirit-led, disciple, child of God. Money can’t buy me. Sickness can’t stop me. Weather can’t weary me. The devil can’t defeat me. People can’t disillusion me. Government can’t silence me. I’m a child of the Most High God.
Very powerful statement. We need to stand firm. If we have placed our faith in Him we have placed ourselves on solid ground and we need to stand up and be the beacon of hope, life, love, peace, security, change, and happiness.
The Bride needs to stand up once again and take her place! It is time to stop the fear, worrying, and unbelief. It is time that the bride gets up and unleashes her anointing. It is time that she prays an unrelenting prayer. It is time that she pushes back. The government has said the church is not important, the body of Christ accepted it. Businesses and people have pushed and said the church is not important anymore and the body of Christ accepted it.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! It is time that the body of Christ, the bride gets up and shows the world why she is still just as important today as she was from the start. It’s time to show the world that this bride has not lost her voice! It’s time to show the world that this bride still has her faith! Her love! Her compassion for every single person! That she still believes in God, hears from God, works for His kingdom, and is the spokesperson for Him on this earth. It is time that the power and authority of the Bible is reclaimed by the bride and she wields and uses it for the kingdom of God! That she brings about a revolution that cannot be stopped. Together she can bring an outpouring unlike anything we have ever seen! But it begins with you, with me, with our family, our churches. To have a ministry like Christ we must be not only be like Him but we must be in harmony with Him. We must walk with Him, and be spiritually in tune with His Spirit and Word.
My brothers and sisters, find your voice! Let no one take it from you. Rise up and be the bride of Christ! Be blessed.
