All of us face trials in our lives and there will be times of difficulty. Below are Scriptural Principles to remember when those hard times enter our lives and everything gets a little blue.
1. I am governed by His providence.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:22 that God remembers His chosen ones. In Romans 8:28 Paul assures us that all things work together for the good of those that love and honor God.
2. When we go through trials & tribulations it is an opportunity to grow.
In Romans 5:3-4 Paul tells us that tribulation teaches us to persevere.
In 1 Corinthians 10:13 and 2 Peter 2:7-9 Peter and Paul tell us that God never allows us to be tested beyond our endurance.
3. The Holy Spirit & Jesus prays for us at these times.
In Romans 8:26-27 Paul tells us that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us on our behalf. In Hebrews 7:25 we are told that Jesus intercedes with God on our behalf.
4. He is with us during this difficult time.
In John 6:16-21 Jesus walked on water to come to the aide of His disciples. He is with us when the sea of life gets rough for us.
5. The Lord waits for us to call upon Him.
In Psalm 4:3 David tells us that the Lord will answer when we call upon Him.
6. Remember, God has a purpose for our lives and nothing separates us from God’s Love.
Paul tells us in Romans 8:38-39 that nothing separates us from the Love of Jesus Christ. In Romans 8:28 Paul tells us that God has a purpose for our lives.
7. God measures us by how we respond.
Matthew 25:14-30 In addition, we will be given greater responsibilities in Heaven if we can “measure up” and fulfill the purpose He has for us here on earth.
God bless!
