My, Devotion to Him #260
You know sometimes in life when there is failure it is often followed by the end. Failure on a job could be termination or on a sport team could mean you get benched or the team won’t renew your contract. Movies stars who fail get regulated for less important roles or less important movies. There are so many things that could happen if we fail at something.
One thing that is so amazing about God is He is constantly giving second chances. He’s not a God of 3rd, 4th 5th chances. He is a God of second chances (more on this later)
Jonah disobeyed and ran. He was swallowed up by large sea creature. Resided in the belly for three days and three night. When he was spit out on the land “the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time”
Just because we fail once does not be we are trash, useless or worthless. We are human and we do make mistakes and we do fail. God is the giver of second chances and even during your second chance no man may bring you down, no situation may keep you back unless you decide to let them.
If God has given you a second chance then say so. No one else can tell your story except you as the storyteller and God as the writer. No one else knows what God has done for you without you telling the story. No one else knows how far you’ve come unless you’ve shown them. Only you know these things and you know that it was by God’s amazing Grace that you are here today in this very spot. Don’t allow the devil to steal your testimony!
Do not be discouraged by how long it took you to get the victory (getting saved) because you now have the victory. The devil wants to silence everyone from giving their testimony because there is power in words and when our words reveal how God took someone like us and saved us from our sins, situations, and surroundings it releases glory to Him, praise to Him, and helps to open hearts, ears, minds to be receptive to the Lord.
“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.”
So say it! Talk about it! Scream it! Sing it! And SHOUT it to all how a God so great loved you so much that He took you out of you current life and renewed with a new life!
God bless.
