Write It and Tear It

My, Devotion to Him #262

Have you noticed that people’s tongues get the best of them? Sometimes it’s accidental and other times it’s done with intent. People speak ill of other people on a daily basis.

“You will never be nothing”, “You will always be like this.”, “You won’t success.”, “Your trash.”, “No one will ever love you.”, “You will always be a failure.”, “You will always be ugly.”, “Your fat and will always be fat.” The list can go on and on because there is a never ending generation of words, sentences in which people cut, hurt, and damage other people constantly, effectively, and with precision.

The question though: Who will we chose to believe?

Are we going to choose the critics? The ones that don’t know us. The one’s who have no divine foresight, or heavenly wisdom. Those who has not seen the end of time and those who did not know you before you were born? Or will we believe God? The very One who deemed you of such worth that He created a world for you to live in? He also used His Son to pave a path for salvation in hopes that you would be spared and you can reside with Him forever. The very One who says you are of Priestly heritage and you are apart of a royal bloodline and because of that you have access not only to the King 24/7 but you also will have your very own spot in Heaven. And before you get to Heaven He will pour out blessings on your life for you to enjoy because you are royalty.

So stop believing EVERY SINGLE PERSON who contradicts what God has already declared and decreed over you. Turn a deaf ear to racism, sexism, ageism, and anything else that seeks to discredit you, discourage you, and hold you back from reaching your divine calling!

“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”

We must hold fast! We must press onward now! We must renew daily with the truths, promises, and decrees of God!

“Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are head.”

You may have been abused, used, rejected, heartbroken, neglected, forced into unnatural and wrong situations, your reputation may have been trashed, false accusers may have destroyed your life, there are things you might have been through that no one knows of. Indeed these hurt, they are painful, they are scars that are deep in us but they shall not define us! I know these scars because I have my own.

It is time that we take a stand against these situations that we have had to endure! It is time that we take back our life because we are called for something greater and we are of royalty!

When God speaks a Word over your life, as far as He’s concerned it has already been accomplished; it’s done. Now it’s our job to believe it, speak it, and walk in it each and every day! When someone says something that leaves a scar or tugs on your past scars do this as a way to help you remember who you are.

  1. Write it down on a paper.
  2. Ask God to help you forgive them for their words or actions.
  3. Seek Him and search out His unfailing love, and unending healing power. Let Him mend you back together. Like a Father treating a scrape on a kids arm and them loving them, comforting them, and caring for them.
  4. Take that paper and tear it to pieces! Toss it in the trash because that’s all those words and actions are worth is trash. They have no value.
  5. “Press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call in Christ Jesus”

When we are tuned into God and we fully commit to Him, His ways, His Word, His everything we should become so consumed with Him that nothing else matters. We care not for the approval of man but the approval of God! We however cannot if we can’t give Him our hurt.

So let Him in and together you can move onward into greater and better things because is what you are called to!

God bless.
