Where Is Your Voice?

My, Devotion to Him #150

A friend and I were talking about a video (political) that he shared with me. I was telling him how it’s crazy that one person can stir the pot enough to ignite something so crazy. He said it’s because this particular side is louder. That got me to thinking…..EXACTLY!

As believers it seems over the years God’s people have gotten quieter and quieter. I asked him why? He said because the louder voices have used Jesus’ words against us. Do we really not know how to combat this? If not, that’s sad. God entrusted His people to be His voice in the earth. I’m tired of political correctness! I’m tired of people using “God is love” as an excuse to live how ever they want thinking that God doesn’t care. God is love, BUT God is also just. He is love because of John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that who ever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” God did this to have a relationship with his people, the ultimate blood sacrifice for you and me. See people are good at taking the parts of the bible that they like, but whoa to them that do because Deuteronomy 4:2 says, Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you. See they don’t realize love and just go hand in hand with God. He is just because of:

Verse Passage: Psalms 9:7-8 “The Lord reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgement. He rules the world in righteousness and judges the people with equity.” – NIV

Verse Passage: Isaiah 26:21 “See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins.” – NIV

If your hung up because these scriptures are Old Testament, then here are some in the New Testament:

Verse Passage: Romans 2:5-6 “But because of your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath, when his righteous judgement will be revealed. God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” – NIV

Verse Passage: Matthew 12:36-37 “But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgement for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”  This was Jesus speaking.” – NIV

Verse Passage: Romans 13:1-2 “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which god has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.” – NIV

God does call us to love people where they’re at. Like the old saying, “God love the sinner, not the sin.”  When the churches voice was the loudest, yes sin did still abound; but it didn’t have the crucial impact that it has now when the smallest voice is God’s. Shame on us!

Verse Passage: 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” – NIV

It’s time for us as Christians to put that verse into practice!

God’s voice needs to be raised up, not in anger, condemnation or judgement; but in love and true compassion for another’s eternity.

Verse Passage: Revelation 20:12-15 “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done.” – NIV

Let your voice be heard!

God bless.

Verse Passage: Psalms 19:14 “May the words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my rock and my redeemer.” – NIV
